First Day of School!

James started pre-k at the end of August. He is really loving school and is so excited to tell me about the things they have done that day.

Playdoh, what a good distraction!

Isaac wants in on the fun too!

Home and happy! The first day was a success!

Completely different topic!
This is the inside of my VCR. One of Isaac's favorite places to stash things. In there we have a disc, remote, bottom left is a plastic fork, far right is a grape, just below that is a checker piece, and the red thing is a plastic carabiner. I think we might have to take it a part for this mess!

Summer!

These pics are from our phones so they're not too wonderful!

James thinks it's lots of fun to hold hands while walking into the library

We made a quick trip to Utah in June and spent some time in Park City with the cousins. James asked me if we could live there. He would probably get tired of being around all of his cousins everyday though!

One of many trips to the zoo.

As we were walking through the children's zoo, Isaac decided he was going to sit on the bench and check out the flamingos. We kept walking and he was content to stay there.

We love jumping in the rain!

Fourth of July celebrations

One of the many ways that Isaac uses to get to things on the counter.

Spencer had a conference in Denver that we got to tag along. It was fun other than everyone got sick except for me. This is after walking around downtown (a little too late for the kids I think!)

James and Isaac participated in the summer reading program at the library. James got a medal and was super excited!

Spencer and James actually caught something while fishing!

Spring and Summer fun

Our spring and summer have been lots of fun (minus the oklahoma heat and humidity when we have been trapped indoors.) Here are a few pics from the camera before we got our new phones and stopped using it!

The kids had a lot of fun at the Orr Family Farm. Train rides, go carts, mazes, and jumping pillows!

Forgot to let the water out of the pool. Of course Isaac found it and jumped right in, pajamas and all!

This boy just loves his Daddy. The first he says to me in the morning is "Daddy?"

We met Lewis in Dallas and took a trip to Six Flags. Obviously the kids were more interested in another ride than this picture!

Just cute!

More fun with Uncle Lewis. We rented a canoe and did a little fishing. It took Lewis and Spencer about the whole time we were there to coax James into riding the wave runner. When we left he was really mad that he couldn't ride it some more!

Spencer had surgery again at the beginning of June. He was at home for a while and spent a lot of time with James teaching him how to play chess and checkers.

More to come when I figure out how to get our camera pictures on here!

Marathon

Lewis, Josiah, and I finished the Catalina Marathon this weekend, it was an amazing experience and I look forward to going back next year, maybe even making it a yearly tradition! Here's where we camped the night before... bad cell phone pic but it was a great spot and we slept great.

At the starting line chatting with our fellow runners.

Amazing views throughout the day.

The ferry ride.

Perfect end to the day... we ordered pizza, watched the Utah State game and soaked in the hot tub at the hotel in Santa Monica.

Check this out... that's right, we were practically climbing mountains throughout the marathon!

A few weeks ago we had a big ice storm covered with a few inches of snow on top. The whole state was shut down for a few days. Spencer stayed home from work and we played in the snow.

James favorite part was knocking the ice off of the play set with his shovel.

James also had a birthday party with some friends. They had a ton of fun. Treasure hunts, pin the hat on the soldier, parachuting military guys, and an obstacle course.

The obstacle course, designed by Spencer, was a big hit! The boys loved it and begged to do it over and over again. Thank goodness for Dads!

Happy Birthday to Spencer! The big 3-0 this year! We went to out to eat and left the kids with some nice neighbors. It was a good day.

the joys of boys

This conversation pretty much describes my day:

James: Mom , you have something on your pants (pause)
Oh, it's just a booger from my nose

Me: Fabulous
