Blessing

Baby Sarah was blessed in August.  We were so lucky to have all the family there.  Thanks to Anne for taking the pictures!

Two weeks

The hospital

Little Sarah Jane decided to come a week early. No complaints here!  Because she was early my mom was able to come out right away to help and Spencer was able to attend his Grandma's funeral the next week. 

After having braxton hicks for a week I finally started contractions in the morning. I had a doctor appointment that afternoon. I was dilated to a three. Spencer told the dr. the baby would be here in four hours, I said a little bit longer than that. We went home and dropped the kids off at the neighbors and headed to the hospital.  We got there about 6:00. I was still a three and they weren't sure they were going to admit me.  I assured them that the baby was going to come soon. We walked the halls for a while and finally headed to our room. Contractions were much harder and at that point the nurse worried we wouldn't get everything done before delivery.  To make a long story short, I didn't get my epidural until I was a nine (but was mighty glad i had it) and baby was born 40 minutes later.

Welcome Baby Sarah!

Baby Sarah is one week old today! She was born Thursday, May 17th at 10:21 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 21 inches long. Here are some pictures...
