Isaac's favorite part of the sleigh ride was after the horses had stopped and would start pulling again.  He would get bumped around and just laugh and laugh!

James was very excited for his Valentine's party at school, but I think Isaac enjoyed the party more than he did.  Whenever we drop James off at school Isaac always wants to see what is going on.  he finally got to check out the classroom!

MaryJane's wedding

My youngest sister MaryJane got married the week before Christmas.  It was a fun event and we all enjoyed staying with family for three weeks!!!

My boys

Near the end of October Isaac and James were jumping off the fire place when James jumped off and hit his mouth on the back of Isaac's head. Lots of tears were had and a tooth was out of place. After a whole lot of drama James tooth got pulled out by the dentist. He'll just have to be toothless for a few years.

Three days after Halloween James landed in the hospital. He had been getting pneumonia about once a month since July. We took him to the doctor the day before Halloween and they put him on antibiotics again. This time his fever wasn't coming down much. So we took him back to the pediatrician and she admitted James to the hospital.


A few days later they did a ct scan because they were worried they might have to put in a drain. But almost immediately after the ct scan they recognized a foreign body in the passageway to the left lung. At this point the entire left lung was filled with fluid. The ENT (ear nose throat) that talked to us asked us if we were from Utah. He recognized the area code from our cell phones! He was from Oklahoma but went to Utah State and married a girl from Logan! He knew another ENT, also LDS, that did these kinds of procedures all the time. What a blessing! This doctor worked at a different hospital but came to ours because his hospital didn't work with our insurance. We are so grateful to him and also grateful for LDS connections!
James had to be on steroids for several days before the scope to reduce inflammation. So six days after being in the hospital James went to the OR and had the foreign body removed.

It was definitely not a fun experience but James is going to be just fine. I was actually grateful for James small problem compared to other kids on the pediatric floor with permanent problems. Thanks to all for your prayers and to those who watched Isaac. We are so grateful.


Don't feel bad for us because we did get to go on a vacation we had planned. Thanks to Spencer's mom for coming to babysit the boys while we were out.
